Keep up informed about availability via Amazon in the UK. A 50% premium on the book price to cover shipping makes the book hard to justify outside of the US. :-)

Agreed, I'd love to know if / when it'll be available from UK sites like Amazon to avoid the shipping cost. The cheaper it is, the easier to convince the boss ;)

Are there any plans for a PDF / electronic version?

Kindle version is available. The UK and international distribution takes about 4-8 weeks. So it will get there eventually. For now, our e-store is available.

Luis, Is the color version coming soon as well? Thank you, Gabriel

The color version will be delayed for a while as the pricing on it is really expensive as of now. I am looking for alternatives, I might post it just in case somebody would like to purchase it, but as of now it would be above $100 for a copy as it is 412 pages in full color.

Wow. That is significant. Just placed my order about a half hour ago. I figured color was just a luxury and I need to save my pennies. Especially with a 3.0 version in the works and two mystery books as possibilities. :-) - Gabriel

hmmm...when will the book on ColdBox 3.0 come out? I'm a bit wary of buying a book on ColdBox 2.6.3 with 3.0 on the horizon. Specially with so many changes coming in the new version.

@tony The 3.0 version of the book won't be available for at least a year. Not until everything is stable and I can write documentation for it. So don't expect and update of the book until maybe this time in 2010.

Same here, was about to buy but the cost of shipping to the UK is far to high that's if I want the book this side of 2009! There seems to be a bunch of us from the UK that want to buy could you not find a cheaper service that's seems a tad high @ $40 for standard shipping is the book that heavy?

Yep. The distribution should get there soon enough, they have said 4-6 weeks from release date (last week). So I will keep pinging them to see when it goes to the UK stores.

Luis, I have a copy of the book, is there any way I could get the ebook version without spending another $39.99? Let me know. Thanks and God bless.
